MOLE MAPPING
Assessments of moles and lesions by consultant dermatologists with results in less than 48 hours
As a Nurse and Doctor your health and safety is always our priority. 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women will develop a form of skin cancer at least once in their lifetime and we are committed to raising awareness to the dangers of skin cancer and the importance of skin protection. Map My Mole allows us to offer advanced assessments, for our patients in clinic, avoiding long GP wait lists. If you have any concerns, get it checked!

We take images of your mole or skin lesion using a specialist, medical grade camera called a ‘Dermascope’. It uses light and magnification to help dermatologists see how your skin looks in more details than you would be able to see with a naked eye or normal camera. The detailed images will make it easier to spot abnormalities that may require further investigation or diagnostic tests.
-
During a consultation in clinic we will ask you some questions about your skin history and skin lesion. Once we’ve taken the images, we will send them to Map My Mole for review. Map my Mole is a third party service provider we use to obtain an indicicative opinion from a UK consultant dermatologist egarding your mole or skin lesion. The consultant will review the images and prepare a detailed report for us within 48 hours. The consultants report does not give a diagnosis but can help us identify a suspicious mole or lesion that may need further investigation and we can then advise you on the next steps.
